Eddie Askew OBE
Influenced by his experience of working with some of the poorest and most marginalized people on the planet, Eddie’s books of daily readings and reflections, deal with life’s quirky contradictions, amusing ambiguities and thought provoking challenges without providing neat and tidy answers.
Written from a place of deep belief in, and experience of God, they also express the vulnerability and uncertainty of living as a person of faith in a broken world.
Eddie, who passed away in September 2007, remains one of the UK’s best-selling Christian authors with 21 titles to his name. There are well over one million of his books in print which, together with his calendars and cards, raised funds of nearly £2.5 million during his lifetime, all of it directly supporting the work of The Leprosy Mission.
We want to enable new generations of Christians to access Eddie’s work, as well as to appeal to those who are interested in real down to earth spirituality, without yet having a personal faith.
